NEWS CENTRE - Co-Chair of the Autonomous Administration's Department of Foreign Relations, Ilham Ehmed, stated that all reports of ‘massacres in Hesekê’ are unfounded and called on the public to be vigilant.

 

In recent days, digital media platforms have claimed that massacres have taken place in the Cizîre Canton, which is part of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. It is alleged that these claims are intended to sow discord in society, manipulate public opinion and spread fear among the people in light of recent developments. Ilham Ehmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, posted a message on his digital media account regarding the matter.

 

Ilham Ehmed's post reads as follows: ‘I ask our people to be cautious. All news reports about “massacres in Hesekê” are false and are being spread by enemy forces.’

 

Ilham Ehmed stated that these attempts aim to break the ceasefire, increase tension among tribes, and restart attacks on Hesekê and Kobanê. Ilham Ehmed said, ‘We confirm our commitment to the ceasefire and the unity of forces.’
