NEWS CENTRE - Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) gangs attacked Eqtan Prison in Raqqa with the aim of securing the release of DAİŞ gangs who massacred Yezidi women and enslaved thousands.

 

It was stated that the attack, aimed at rescuing DAESH gangs who carried out massacres against Yazidi women in Sinjar and enslaved thousands of women, was organised by  HTS gangs.

 

In a statement issued by the QSD and YPJ, it was reported that the gangs carried out the attack on the prison using drones and heavy weapons.

 

The statement emphasised that QSD and YPJ fighters responded to prevent the release of the DAESH gangs and that they could not be held responsible for the consequences of the attack.
