Resistance emphasized at Jîna Emînî commemoration in Rojava

NEWS CENTER – A statement was made in Rojava on the third anniversary of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising that began after Jîna Emînî was murdered. 
 
Kongra Star made statements in the cities of Qamishlo in the Cizire Canton and Kobanê in the Fırat Canton on the third anniversary of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi” uprising that began after Jîna Emînî was murdered by the Iranian regime. 
 
Qamishlo
 
At the statement made at the March 12 Martyrs Stadium, participants wore aprons with “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” written in Kurdish and Arabic. “The braids revolution is still in the tree,” “Jîna Emînî broke the violence against women,” “Society is liberated with women's freedom,” “With Jîna's memory, Jiyan's insistence, and Zeyneb's struggle, we will end violence,” were carried, along with photos of Jîna Emînî and Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. 
 
‘The struggle continues’
 
Kongra Star Qamishlo spokesperson Rîhan Temo said in a speech, “Today marks the third anniversary of the resistance launched by women and peoples against patriarchal, racist, and misogynistic mindsets. The throne of the oppressors was shaken and engraved in memory in the person of Jîna Emînî. Although many forces tried to suppress this resistance, the struggle of women continues." 
 
The statement ended with the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom). 
 
Kobanê
 
Hundreds of women attended the statement made at the Free Women's Square, and the press release was read on behalf of the women by Meysun Kewar, a member of Kongra Star Fırat Canton.
 
'It gave strength to the women's movement'
 
Meysun Kewar stated that they salute the rising resistance on the anniversary of the “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” uprising, adding, "Leader Apo's ideas and women's struggle have empowered the women's freedom movement. The resistance, which also includes the Kurdish, Baluchi, and Arab peoples, is the greatest revolutionary resistance of recent years. This resistance was not only against the imposition of the headscarf, but also for the attainment of all political, economic, and social rights. The sparks of the Jin, Jiyan, Azadî resistance are still burning in the prisons of the Iranian state."
 
The statement ended with applause and slogans.
