The youth are starting the vigil: We will end private warfare 2025-09-06 12:27:59   Memihan Zeydan   WAN - Stating that they will start a tent campaign and night vigils against the special war policies in Kurdistan, DEM Party Youth Assembly Member Dilan Can said, “We will end the special war by resisting and struggling in every field.”    The special war policies that have been waged in Kurdistan for years are being carried out with multifaceted methods aimed at destroying the social fabric of society. Attempts to spread drugs targeting the youth, prostitution policies based on the female body and cultural assimilation practices aim to de-identify the people and degenerate society. In addition to all these, the policy of spying is added to all these and young people are tried to be de-identified. One of the cities where these practices are intensely practiced is Wan, which is governed by a trustee. In Wan, while the police's policy of trying to spy on young people continues, young people respond to these policies with resistance.    The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Wan Youth Assembly continues its work and carries out campaigns and activities against the special war policies. DEM Party Wan Youth Assembly member Dilan Can made evaluations about the special war policies and explained the work they will do.   'They turn a blind eye to drugs and prostitution'   Dilan Can emphasized that Kurdish youth in Kurdistan are being intensively directed towards drugs and prostitution as part of the special war policies against Kurdish youth and said, "We see very clearly that drugs are allowed in every area and that the state turns a blind eye to prostitution in every area, everywhere. Especially in the Bakur region of Kurdistan, we witness the intensification of drugs, prostitution and especially spying. In addition to these, special war policies are also being carried out on social media."   'Our priority is the physical freedom of Leader Apo'   Dilan Can, pointing to the resistance against the mazbata and trustee resistance in Wan in the last two years, said, "A very strong organization emerged in Wan in front of the eyes of the state. After these resistances, there was a lot of intensification in Wan. We see that prostitution has become widespread in every area, and the age of drugs has decreased to 6-7 years old. For example, when the police tried to prevent us from marching for peace on September 1st and attacked us, this is a special war policy. In fact, it is an image that they do not want peace, that they want to disrupt the process. Our priority is the physical freedom of Leader Apo and our struggle against the special war policies within this framework."   'Youth is aware of the special war'   Dilan Can mentioned that the youth of Kurdistan are also conscious of psychological warfare and said, "There is a very intense attack on the festivals we organize, they come in large numbers. They are trying to create fear by doing this. In our neighborhood festivals, mothers come and ask 'Are they going to attack? They were afraid to participate. This is what the government wants. They are trying to intimidate and destroy us by scaring us. But the youth is aware of what is being done and we are working against it everywhere, in every field, we are protecting our activism and organization."   'We need to organize along the lines of struggle'   Stating that the aim of the special war policies is to degenerate and individualize the people, Dilan Can said, "Their aim is to detach the people from truth, comradeship and human relations. We see individualization and degeneration among the people. We need to carry out our actions to prevent this. The reason for the increase in individualism is the intimidation policies implemented by the system. We all need to organize along the lines of struggle and fight against the special war policies."   'We will start night vigils against drugs and prostitution'   Speaking about the work they do as DEM Party Wan Youth Assembly against the special war, Dilan Can finally said the following: "We organize youth festivals and neighborhood festivals. We distributed leaflets against the special war, we made public speeches with our friends, leaflets were distributed all over Wan. In fact, 12 of our friends were detained because they fought against prostitution and drugs and distributed leaflets on this issue. The orientation towards youth in Wan is of these dimensions. But the youth of Wan is waging a struggle to raise awareness among the youth everywhere. We will start our tent campaign. We will have night vigils against drugs and prostitution. We will end the special war by resisting and struggling in every field. The struggle against special war policies must be led by young women. We invite young people everywhere to join the struggle along the lines of comradeship and to fight for the physical freedom of the Leader."
